Have you ever looked after yourself before the people around you, i know i have, we all have at one point or another but some times it is necessary like in sports you need to look good in front of your coach and that might mean making someone look bad but most of the time it is right to look after others this doesn't mean it is easy or what you will do just like Scruge in a christmas carol it is what he should have done but instead he looked after himself

today my employee asked me for time off to ''enjow the holidays with his famalie'' what is there to enjoy about this time of year anyway. Nothing but wasting money on people that don't deserve gifts like my nephew, merry christmass indeed! if that boy had any sence he would be working through the holidays i hear they pay more in some jobs....well not me im smart like that it would take the ghost of my colegues and three others to teach me a lesson hahahahah but thats never going to happen and those darn carolers always coming to my door ill see to it that the next one that comes to my door gets a nice taste of snow!!

I think the pearl in the book "the pearl" is a symbol is a symbol of hope because every time kino, the main character, thinks about what he is going to do with the money he will get from the pearl he always says his son will finally go to school and have a job and get rich.
